Galvin Park

Located in the 200 block of North South Street, on the corner of East Birdsall Street.

Donated by Mrs. Brady Galvin, this park is always popular during the winter. When the snow arrives, men and women, boys and girls can be seen sledding down the hill.

A Gazebo on top of the hill was donated by the Jaycees as a memorial for two of their members who died in a plane crash. In the summer one can find several people using it to take cover from the hot sun.

At the bottom of the hill, the Rotary Club is responsible for the two-basketball courts. They are busy everyday of the summer with pick-up games or for moms and dads to shoot some hoops with their children.
