It is with great care and reverence that the City of Wilmington offers services to help families memorialize their loved ones.
The Sugar Grove Cemetery has been providing burial services for Wilmington and its surrounding communities for over 150 years. For much of that time, the Cemetery has been managed by the Sugar Grove Cemetery Association, a non-profit organization.
On April 2, 2015, the City of Wilmington assumed ownership of the cemetery, and the facility is now operated under the supervision of the Director of Public Services.
The City of Wilmington is committed to the preservation of the rich heritage and traditions of the Sugar Grove Cemetery. At the same time, we look forward to implementing continuous improvements in the services offered, with special attention given to the upkeep of the beautiful, historic grounds.
