Fire Inspector

The City of Wilmington Fire Inspector is responsible for plan reviews, commercial building inspections as related to the Ohio Fire Code, annual inspections for commercial businesses, inspections for foster and adoption homes and residential inspections upon request.  The Fire Inspector is also in charge of permit applications for above ground storage tanks, fireworks, tents and storage of flammable/combustible materials and hazardous materials.

Building Plans may be dropped off at the Building Department, Room 253, located on the second floor of the Municipal Building at 69 N. South Street.

The Fire Inspector uses The Ohio Fire Code, National Fire Protection Association Standards, as well as the City of Wilmington Codified Ordinances to identify infractions, identify corrections and issue citations for the fire district residents and commercial facilities.
